Catherine Gekas Steeby has more than two decades of Medicaid policy experience, specializing in eligibility, enrollment, and access to care. She provides strategic guidance and policy analysis to help clients navigate complex program rules and implement practical solutions. Her work focuses on strengthening eligibility and enrollment systems, streamlining processes, and reducing barriers to coverage. She is skilled at translating complex policy into clear, actionable strategies for a variety of audiences.
Before joining Aurrera Health, Catherine worked for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, where she advanced Medicaid initiatives and oversaw efforts to modernize eligibility and enrollment processes and improve systems and outreach strategies. She built deep expertise in policy, stakeholder engagement, program design, and program implementation, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how Medicaid programs operate and impact communities.
Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Doane University. She lives in Nebraska and enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on the Huskers.
