Special Projects Assistant
Kristen Hanson serves as the Special Projects Assistant on the Culture and Operations team at Aurrera Health Group. In this role, she leads and supports initiatives aimed at driving organizational success and enhancing support for the Executive and Senior Leadership teams.
Kristen is skilled at managing strategic projects, streamlining operations, and fostering collaboration across teams to align with company goals. Before joining Aurrera Health Group, Kristen worked at Health Net, where she managed Medi-Cal programs and spearheaded strategic initiatives to improve healthcare delivery for underserved communities. She also brings a strong foundation in education, having spent six years as a high school teacher, where she served as a curriculum lead and developed expertise in leadership, communication, and project management.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in Education. Originally from California, she now lives in Colorado, where she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, exploring her community, reading, and embracing the joys of parenting.
