Anna Patterson, BSN, RN, MPH is a Senior Policy Consultant with the Integrated Care team at Aurrera Health Group. She supports implementing state-level behavioral health policy, including California’s Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health, Anna worked at the UPMC Center for High-Value Health Care where she supported the implementation of grant-funded studies alongside leading internal program evaluations for UPMC Health Plan. Additionally, she has collaborated with colleagues from the University of Pittsburgh to conduct several econometric analyses focused on disparities in access to care and coverage among Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries. Anna’s expertise in Medicaid policy, policy analysis, program implementation, data collection, and as a clinician help inform her work at Aurrera.
Anna earned her master’s degree in public health at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences from Alvernia University. Before gaining her master’s degree, Anna worked as an Emergency Department RN for seven years. Outside of work, you can usually find Anna knitting, reading, or working on her next house project.
