Erik Hirschman, MPH is a Policy Consultant on the Medicaid Policy & Programs team at Aurrera Health Group, where he supports long-term services and supports work with the California Department of Health Care Services.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Erik helped a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit clients navigate organizational change as an Associate Consultant with Clarasys. In this role, he worked to define and implement structures for large strategic initiatives by documenting processes, identifying areas for optimization, and developing communications plans. Before Clarasys, Erik was a Policy Intern at United States of Care, where he focused on the equity impacts of devising and implementing public option health plans in Oregon and Colorado. He has also provided analysis of virtual care legislation at both State and Federal levels.
Erik holds a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in global health policy from George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Gonzaga University. Outside of work, Erik is an avid reader, runner, college basketball fan (Go Zags!), and amateur barista.
