Joshua “Josh” Hurd supports community research and analysis, project management, strategic guidance, and assistance with community engagement. His work spans various projects focused on trauma-responsive care, behavioral health, and improving health care quality and access.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Josh served as a Deputy Sheriff in Fresno County, collaborating with local agencies to provide services to residents. This experience sparked his passion for developing and delivering evidence-based services to justice-impacted individuals and broader society. Josh is dedicated to advancing understanding of how common experiences – such as stress, trauma, substance abuse, and anxiety – shape human behavior to help bolster societal well-being.
Josh resides in Fresno, California, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology at Fresno State. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, weight training, running, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
