Managing Principal, Medicaid and Behavioral Health Policy
Allison Homewood, MHA serves as Managing Principal of Medicaid & Behavioral Health Policy at Aurrera Health Group. In this role, Allison leads projects related to the development and implementation of policies aimed at improving care for Medicaid beneficiaries. Currently, her work focuses on behavioral health delivery system improvement and integration in California’s Medicaid (Medi-Cal) Program.
Prior to joining Aurrera, she served as the Associate Director of Policy at the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems, where she advanced policies to strengthen California’s public health care delivery system and improve care for Medi-Cal’s most complex beneficiaries. Prior to joining CAPH she worked in strategic planning and business development at LifeLong Medical Care, a multi-site community health center in the San Francisco Bay Area providing integrated medical, dental and social services to people of all ages.
She previously served as an Associate Director at the California Primary Care Association, advocating on behalf of and supporting California’s nonprofit community clinics and health centers.
Allison holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Southern California’s School of Public Policy and completed her undergraduate education at UC Davis. In her spare time, she enjoys being in the kitchen and singing silly songs with her daughter.
