Sarah Tocher is a Policy Consultant on the Medicaid Policy & Programs team at Aurrera Health Group. She joined the firm in May 2021 and provides policy, operational, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, and communications support on multiple projects.
Sarah brings policy and program experience in health workforce, behavioral health, trauma-responsive care, and the unwinding of the COVID-19 public health emergency. As a key staffer on the Pathways to Resilience initiative, she plans webinars, writes publications, and engages with stakeholders and experts in the field. Sarah previously served as Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President and worked closely with company leadership to implement the ACEs Aware initiative on behalf of the California Department of Health Care Services and the Office of the California Surgeon General.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Sarah served as a session committee assistant at the Washington State House of Representatives as part of the Consumer Protection & Business Committee. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a bachelor’s degree in government. Sarah lives in Los Angeles and enjoys reading, baking, doing crosswords, skiing, and playing soccer in her free time.
