Charmaine Stevens, MPH is a Senior Policy Consultant with Aurrera Health Group's Integrated Care team. Charmaine specializes in project management, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement. In her role, Charmaine supports the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) on behavioral health initiatives including the State Opioid Response (SOR) grant.
Prior to joining Aurrera Health Group, Charmaine led workstreams to facilitate compelling RFP responses at AmeriHealth Caritas (AC), where she supported the expansion and retention of state Medicaid contracts and programs. Before her time at AC, Charmaine worked at a Washington D.C.-based managed care organization, where she used data-driven solutions and stakeholder engagement to improve health outcomes for new and expectant mothers. Additionally, she has served as a Care Coordinator for a behavioral health agency in D.C. where she helped adults with severe mental and physical health conditions manage their health care.
Charmaine holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of New England and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowie State University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
